Guest housekeeping requests go straight to housekeeping.

Guests scan the room’s QR code, open Services and choose towels, pillows, blankets, toiletries or room cleaning. The request reaches housekeeping’s own queue, so the front desk does not have to pass it along. A staff member takes it with an estimated time, and the guest follows it on the room page.

Take within 5 min · on duty: Housekeeping runner.

On it - ready in about:

Maria taps 15 min at 10:40 PM. The guest then reads: “Maria (Housekeeping) is on it: about 15 minutes, by 10:55 PM.” After Done: “Done by Housekeeping.”

Who does what

  1. The guest chooses an item

On the room page’s Services tab, the guest opens Housekeeping and selects the item. Pillows, blankets and towels accept quantities from 1 to 6; toiletries and Clean my room are requests without a quantity selector.

  2. The runner takes the request

Staff open the department requests screen and choose Housekeeping. Its queue is oldest first. They enter their name and tap 10, 15, 20 or 30 min to give the guest an estimate, then Done when finished.

  3. The supervisor follows overdue work

A card past its acknowledgement or resolution target turns red. With sample settings, an untouched request after 6 minutes reads: “Overdue: not taken within 5 min. Escalate to Executive housekeeper.” Staff contact the named supervisor.

Honest limits

Alerts today are the tablet chime, enabled by staff, and notifications on staff phones that have enabled them. There is no link to the hotel’s systems. Department targets use sample settings until your hotel supplies its own (the water-leak targets are the same for every hotel today); an escalation line tells staff whom to contact, it does not send a supervisor text message. Room charges and late-checkout fees are posted by the front desk by hand.

Questions hotel teams ask

Does every towel request go through the front desk?

No. Services sends the selected housekeeping request directly to housekeeping’s queue.

Can a guest ask for more than one pillow or towel?

Yes. Pillows, blankets and towels have a quantity selector from 1 to 6.

What if the guest needs something outside the list?

Something else in the department card lets the guest describe the need and send it to that department. Guests can also ask in Chat.

Is 15 minutes a promised delivery time?

No. It is the estimate the staff member selects when taking that request. No arrival time is shown before a person takes it.

Does each department have a separate login?

Today department links filter the queue and use the same staff PIN. Separate department logins are planned for the pilot.
